Chocolate-Peanut Butter Crispy Treats

Ingredients

2 10 ounce packages tiny marshmallows

6 tablespoon butter, cut up

½ cup creamy peanut butter

8 cup chocolate-flavor crisp rice cereal

1 cup coarsely chopped dry roasted peanuts

2 ounce peanut butter-flavor pieces, melted

½ teaspoon shortening

2 ounce semisweet chocolate, melted
Directions

Butter the inside of a 4- to 6-quart slow cooker. Add the first three ingredients (through peanut butter) to prepared cooker.

Cover and cook on low about 1 1/2 hours or until smooth, stirring every 30 minutes. Gently stir in cereal and peanuts.

Use buttered hands or 1/4-cup cookie scoop to shape mixture into 36 balls; place on a buttered sheet of foil. Let stand at room temperature until firm and no longer sticky.

Stir together melted peanut butter pieces and shortening until smooth. Drizzle treats with melted peanut butter pieces and melted chocolate. If desired, sprinkle with additional finely chopped peanuts. Let stand at room temperature until firm.
